Preparation of Reference Solution
Accurately weigh an appropriate amount of Gastrodin reference solution and add mobile phase to a solution containing 50 μg per 1 ml.

Preparation of Test Solution
Prepare approximately 2 g of the product powder (passed through a No. 3 sieve) and accurately weigh it. Place it in a stoppered conical flask. Accurately add 50 ml of dilute ethanol and weigh the solution. Heat under reflux for 3 hours. Allow to cool and weigh again. Make up the loss with dilute ethanol. Shake well and filter. Accurately measure 10 ml of the filtrate and concentrate to near dryness. Dissolve the residue in a 3:97 acetonitrile-water mixture
and transfer it to a 25 ml volumetric flask. Dilute to the mark with a 3:97 acetonitrile-water mixture, shake well, filter, and collect the filtrate.
